Our full-time Support Services personnel are instrumental in the accomplishment of information management and analysis. Crime and enforcement analysis are reported daily and monthly to all employees to use in short term response and long-term planning activities, to identify crime trends and to assist in identification of operational priorities. Support Services Division disseminates a daily report to all police personnel, reporting all significant incidents and offenses occurring during the previous twenty-four hours.
Our support services personnel entered 17,975 records in 2004, 15,429 records in 2003, 18,394 records in 2002 and 16,454 in 2001, into our in-house records management system. Our goal is to have all reports entered into the electronic records management system within twenty-four hours of the data being generated. This important task gives our agency the ability to gather, disseminate and route information to our officers and other jurisdictions quickly and accurately.
If you need a copy of a police report that has been completed by MTPD you may obtain the report in person or by fax. Reports of less than 25 pages are free of charge.
