Life Saving Awards

Miami Township Police Officers Ryan Frasher and Matt Davila were given Life Saving awards at the December 15th Miami Township Board of Trustees Business meeting.

Shop With A Cop

On Wednesday, December 16th the Miami Township Police Department held its annual ‘Shop with a Cop’ at Meijer.  About 16 uniform  Police Officers and 8 uniformed Police Explorers donated their time by showing up the night of the event and walking the aisles with the children.

Officer Paul to Retire

Miami Township Police Officer William Paul will retire in January 2010 after serving for more than 25 years with the department. He was hired by the department on September 25, 1984 and was assigned to the Patrol Division.

Meet the Police Chief

Chief R. Steven Bailey has been Chief of the Miami Township Police Department since May 1995. Chief Bailey graduated from the 203d Session of the FBI National Academy in December 2000. He is a graduate of Class 119 of the Northwestern University Traffic Institute School of Police Staff and Command. He is also a graduate of Session 16 of the Ohio Police Executive Leadership College (P.E.L.C.).
