The Miami Township Police Department is an internationally accredited agency. Our agency consists of forty sworn employees and five non-sworn support service employees with diverse backgrounds in the law enforcement profession.
Residents and local businesses donated more thasn $13,000 to the annual Miami Township Police Department's “Cops n Kids” event for more than 80 disadvantaged children in the community on Thursday, Dec. 12 Meijer on State Route 28.

The Miami Township SafetyNet is a community email advisory system designed to notify your group about any issue considered necessary by the Police, Fire or Emergency Medical Services. We are seeking a single contact point within your group, HOA, community, church or business to be on our list.
Avoid the Grandpa Scam: In recent weeks a number of police agencies in Ohio have received complaint calls from different people about a scam targeting grandparents. Elderly victims have been contacted by telephone and told their grandsons or granddaughters have been injured in a car accident while visiting another state or a foreign country.
Chief R. Steven Bailey has been Chief of the Miami Township Police Department since May 1995. Chief Bailey graduated from the 203d Session of the FBI National Academy in December 2000. He is a graduate of Class 119 of the Northwestern University Traffic Institute School of Police Staff and Command. He is also a graduate of Session 16 of the Ohio Police Executive Leadership College (P.E.L.C.).
